Interstate B-Double Drivers – Beerwah

Armesto’s Transport are looking for experienced, professional and reliable B-Double drivers based in South East Queensland.

MC Driver required for Interstate Driving Work running to Sydney and Melbourne and occasional North Queensland Work. Our depot is based in Beerwah, on the Sunshine Coast.

Immediate Start for successful applicant.

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered –

– Have a minimum of 5 years MC driving experience

– Must have interstate driving experience, preferably express

– Have a good driving history & provide a recent 5-year traffic history

– Must be able to drive at night

Work Shop Supervisor – Beerwah

Armesto’s Transport is a family owned and operated business based in Beerwah, on the Sunshine Coast,  we currently require a trade qualified heavy vehicle diesel maintenance mechanic that has strong leadership qualities to supervise the floor of our busy workshop.

To be considered for this role, applicants must have more than 3 years experience in supervising a busy heavy vehicle workshop.

Extensive knowlege of the Kenworth Volvo brand of trucks essential.

Must have fleet maintance experince in Prime Movers and trailers.
The Floor  Supervisor Mechanic’s duties and responsibilities include:

• Supervise and Perform repair and maintenance of our trucks, trailers and other equipment in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
• Supervise and Perform detailed inspections of vehicles and equipment and correct equipment deficiencies and perform preventive maintenance on company owned equipment.
• Supervise and Perform fabrication and repair component parts.
• Identify and repair or report worn or failed components, etc.
• Maintain accurate records (time, repair orders and parts usage) on computer.
• Work reasonable overtime when required

Skills and Experience Required

To be eligible for this role, applicants must:

• possess an Australian Certificate III as a Diesel Motor Mechanic (Heavy Commercial Vehicles) or recognised equivalent.
• minimum 5 years’ experience
• have basic experience in welding processes
• have experience in thermal cutting processes
• Ability to troubleshoot and make repairs to basic wiring, control wiring and hydraulic systems.
• Full drivers license – HR licence is preferred
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as required
• Have proven experience in the maintenance and repair of trucks and trailers
  Be detail orientated and possess a strong work ethic
  Be confident in working unsupervised
  Produce a high standard of work while     keeping to deadlines
  Must have excellent leadership skills and be honest and ethical

Remuneration
From $30.00 per hour base hourly rate

(Dependent on Skills and Experience)

This is a permanent full time position with a 38 hour week plus overtime as required. Saturday work involved.

Week-End Fleet Controller – Beerwah

Armesto’s Transport are a large family owned and operated transport company based at Beerwah on the Sunshine Coast

Operations / Afterhours  person required for our busy operations team over the week-end. Hours 6.00am to 6.00pm  Saturday & Sunday, this is a Part time / Casual position.

Applicant must have experience in the following areas and must have the required licences where applicable.

Fleet Allocation

HC / MC Licence

Experience in Coupling and Uncoupling B-Double Trailers

Driver Management

Handling Breakdowns / Security

Monitor GPS Tracking

NHVR rules and regulations

BFM Schedulers course

Ensure compliance with State and Federal legislation, Occupational Health & Safety, DG Policies and Environmental and Company processes and polices

Applicant must have at least 5 years experience in Fleet Allocation and Transport Operations.

This role requires applicants to be able to work in a fast paced environment.

Excellent phone manner and intermediate computer skills are essential.

Training will be provided in our systems.
