The Role

The Operations Coordinator will support our small team of industry experts in all aspects of oversized and overmass freight.

We are seeking an excellent communicator to juggle various tasks on the go and communicate with all drivers and sub-contractors keeping our Operations team and customers up to speed on service delivery.

Preferably you will have knowledge in over dimensional loads and associated statutory requirements or have ability to learn and grasp as you go as an up and coming undergraduate to the experienced team who can provide valuable training and mentoring.

You will be part of a collaborative and supportive team culture.

Role responsibilities

  • Receiving transport bookings from clients
  • Liaising with operations staff to ensure the optimum utilisation of equipment
  • Delegating work to truck drivers and subcontractors
  • Monitoring the progress and execution of all jobs
  • Respecting and enforcing all statutory requirements and company policies
  • Invoicing (company and Sub-contractor) and reporting on P&L results and other KPI’s
  • Accepting sales enquiries

To be effective in your role you will possess

  • Previous experience in similar role or looking for a training opportunity with a keen interest in transport industry
  • Strong career focus with an eagerness to learn and develop
  • A proven track record of producing excellent results
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • High level communication skills being articulate and confident in your approach
  • High levels of initiative with the ability to think on your feet
  • Self-motivated, with exceptional organisation and time management skills
  • Team oriented to be apart of a reliable high performing team
  • Computer literate, possessing quality Microsoft Office skills
  • Basic background of transporting machinery
  • Proficient computer skills, and ability to adapt
