Lindsay Transport is currently seeking experienced night HC local drivers to join the team based at our Adelaide depot in Direk. This position will report directly to the Depot Manager.

The candidates we are looking for will have;

  • HC licence
  • Experience Driving Heavy Vehicles
  • Previous refrigerated transport experience (useful)
  • A commitment to workplace health and safety (essential)
  • This role will involve weekend work

The Role

Lindsay Transport is currently seeking an experienced Forklift Driver to join the team based in Melbourne. The position will be offered on a full-time basis for the dayshift starting at 8:00am.

The candidate we are looking for will have;

  • Have a valid Forklift Licence and experience in this class
  • Warehouse experience required
  • Experience Loading and unloading trucks
  • Refrigeration Experience (Preferred)
  • Pick packing and stocktaking
  • Transport Documentation
  • Some weekend work will be required on a rostered basis

  • Pass a Commercial Drivers Health Assessment including drug and alcohol screening
  • Be well presented
  • Have good attention to detail

Heavy Vehicle Mechanic – Melbourne

Lindsay Transport is now entering its seventh decade in operation and is one of the largest transporters of fresh produce in Australia. Lindsay Transport specialises in temperature sensitive, time-slotted freight into Central Markets and major Grocery Distribution Centres. We operate a network of freight terminals with significant coldroom facilities across the east coast of Australia and employ a staff of approximately 1400 workers.

Reliability is the cornerstone in transport and to ensure reliability we make sure our fleet is maintained to the highest level. To help us achieve this we require an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join the maintenance team based in our busy workshop in Melbourne.

The primary duties of the role will include;

  • Repair, replace, maintain and test a high volume of company vehicles and related mechanical and electrical components
  • Completing work in a safe and efficient manner
  • Servicing vehicles in line with company servicing schedule
  • Assisting with rebuilds as required
  • Accurate completion of all paperwork associated with fleet maintenance and repair
  • Attending to breakdowns and accidents as required

The candidate we are looking for will have;

  • Trade qualification
  • Experience with Detriot, CAT and Cummins
  • Proven competence in repairs and rebuilds
  • Effective diagnostic skills
  • Own basic tools (specialist tools are provided)
  • Basic computer skills

The candidates we are looking for will have;

  • A current MC drivers licence and experience in this licence class
  • Experience in  B-Doubles
  • Basic Fatigue Management accreditation (preferred)
  • A commitment to workplace health and safety (essential)

Sunday – Thursday, starting at 5am

Monday – Friday, starting at 8am

Monday – Friday, starting at Midday

Monday – Friday, starting at 5pm

Sunday – Thursday, starting at 6am

The Opportunity:

The Operations Supervisor is integral to the successful running of the operations of the organisation. The primary purpose of this position is liaising with the National Transport Office, Operations staff, Admin staff and oversee the running of the warehouse floor to ensure the efficient allocation of services and equipment to maximise efficiency while exceeding customer expectations.

What the role entails;

  • Supervision and co-ordination of local freight and deliveries
  • Day to day management of drivers
  • Managing of warehouse floor, forklift drivers and stock on site.
  • Lead staff hands on and by example
  • Monitoring compliance with Fatigue, mass and maintenance requirements
  • Ensuring the safe conduct of operations in the workplace
  • Planning and building loads in line with customer requirements
  • Equipment and resource planning
  • Enforcing businesses process and rules
  • Rostering and management of staff
  • Able to work nights.

To succeed in this role, we anticipate you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Familiarity with Fatigue, speed, mass and maintenance requirements

Trailer Body Repairer – Coffs Harbour

  • Be willing to learn OEM repair techniques with on the job training and also the ability to be sent to training
  • Proven competence in repairs and rebuilds
  • Effective diagnostic skills
  • Own basic tools (specialist tools are provided)
  • Basic computer skills
